 Short History of Playstation2 Modchip
The PlayStation 2, like the original PlayStation, incorporates circuitry to prevent the playing of copied or out-of-region discs and programs produced by people who are not paying percentage to the Sony Corporation (unlicensed games etc.). In Australia, the court has ruled that using a PS2 mod chips to play legally purchased game from another region is legal, thus making the mod chips fully legal in Australia. Conversely, a court in the United Kingdom ruled in 2004 that commercial possession, sale, installation or use of a modchip was illegal under the EU Copyright Directive.

as well as backups of your own games made on CD-r or DVD-r

from unscrewing the first screw to putting the last screw

23 wires to your PlayStation, depending on
the version mod chip you choose.
